OUTREACH TEAM
Our Outreach Team coordinates our volunteer efforts with Dillard Street Elementary School, the Christian Service Center, the Edgewood Children’s Ranch, Habitat for Humanity, and other local, national, and international outreach organizations to help change the world with Jesus: one child, one person, one family, on community at a time. Christian Service Center
Bag Sundays at Church of the Messiah: On the first Sunday of each month, Church of the Messiah members and guests are invited to bring non-perishable food items to church services to benefit the food pantry at the Christian Service Center in Ocoee.
Various COTM Ministries also team up to serve at their location throughout the year. For more information about the Christian Service Center, check out its website here.
Compassion International
Each Spring, Church of the Messiah hosts Compassion Sunday where folks can learn about Compassion Ministries and have the opportunity to sponsor a child.
However, you can begin sponsoring a child any time by following this unique link https://cintl.us/chofmessiahfl. When a child is sponsored by someone through that link, we can track the influence of our church to that sponsorship. The children you see on the webpage are not on any child packets or other websites, they are unique to our custom weblink online.
D.A.R.T
Our Disaster Action Response Team coordinates our church’s response to Hurricanes and other disaster related needs around our Parish and community. You can sign up specifically for this team through the Messiah’s Way packet each year. When a hurricane strikes, if you need assisstance or would like to help those who do, please reach out!

Dillard Street Elementary School Partner in Education
We partner with Dillard Street Elementary School as one of their Partners in Education by providing needed items to students in need, sponsoring teacher appreciation snacks or meals, and other vital support around the Dillard Elementary campus. Children’s Minister Angela Lopez works year round to communicate with the school and identify ways in which she and COTM can help.
Edgewood Children’s Ranch

The Outreach Team partners with Edgewood Children’s Ranch to provide needed bulk groceries, special occassion/holiday support for the house families and enrolled participants, and for other service projects to help around campus and brighten the days of the children and house families. Stay tuned for periodic calls for participation in our programs with Edgewood Children’s Ranch.
Friends of the Troops
Each year, we provide support in some way to send some cheer to troops. This year (fall 2022) we sent boxes of Girl Scout Cookies through one of our parish Girl Scouts!
Habitat for Humanity
West Orange Habitat for Humanity is a not-for-profit, Christian organization transforming the lives of low-income, hardworking families through home ownership. It brings together families in need, volunteers of all faiths and backgrounds, and community resources to build homes and strengthen communities.

Hope Center Winter Garden
Spearheaded by a coalition of local churches and worship centers, Hope Center Winter Garden is now operating at 1010 S. Dillard Street. It is a one-stop location of services for individuals and family in need: Food Pantry, Job Placement, Counseling, Immigration Services, Life Solutions, Thrift Store.
